Math Lives Here began from a deeply personal journey. While searching for a preschool for my son, I began to see the inequities in access to early math learning and connected them to the gaps I was seeing as a secondary math educator.

What started as neighborhood flyers and small family workshops to support and engage our community has grown into something even bigger. Today, we’re on a mission to activate 10,000 families through our Math Lives Here activity cards, helping families discover the mathematical thinking already happening in their everyday lives.
